It’s funny listening to these politicians talk about
campaign strategy. How about being real,
instead of talking about the same shit over and over again… Then not doing a
damn thing once you’re elected. We have
politicians writing legislation to tell us what kind of light bulbs you can use;
meanwhile, nobody can tell us if Social Security will be around in the next 10
years…
Social Security what a touchy subject for all of us who actually pay in, yet while everyone can just live off welfare for eternity. Another reason for us not to vote for Rick Perry the Texas Governor going for Presidential Election whom does not want to fix the financial future but just wants to close it out permanently so ultimately all of us working people would be relatively screwed out of our future retirement.
ReplyDeleteI love it when they talk about means testing. You might get Social Security-- unless, you were responsible and put away too much money for retirement, then we might give your share of Social Security away to people who didn't do the right thing for their retirement. It's coming, you might as well forget about social security, especially if you earn a military retirement.
ReplyDeleteWell I know one thing the Military Retirement will help out but still in the long run I'm not really sure what m-day pay will be when the day finally comes that I do retire, but at least I know that I'm not just throwing away my entire manhood on hopes and dreams for social security to fix itself when in all reality we all know that with the baby boomer retirees all doing it so early unlike our grandfathers who didn't retire until they were 65 plus. I just don't know how I see anything good coming out of just ridding of it's entirety but really how do we expect anything from the source when only a small percentage are actually paying in to the system instead of leaning on the free state budgets that will pay you no matter what you do in life.
